I’ve been pondering on this one for a minute. Not exclusively due to Bren’s passing but rather that there has been quite a few in the last few years. Yes, this is absolutely a nod to Bren as much as it is a nod to anyone that has passed while in the pursuit of the inherently dangerous nature of whitewater kayaking. It’s felt common the last few years to read or hear about someone’s passing. So this piece is dedicated to those that the rest of us will tell stories about.
